Kelly Clarkson Just Re-Imagined "Never Enough" And It's So... WOW

Publish date: 2024-07-20

“The Greatest Showman,” might be one of the best films we have ever seen… Don’t even try arguing with us. In fact, we may even say that there’s “never enough” of it. Okay, we know that was a terrible joke but there’s a reason we made it and that reason is that Kelly Clarkson has just released a cover of the hit song, “Never Enough,” which for those who don’t know, features in the movie.

Her cover of the song comes just a few weeks short of the release of a, “re-imagined,” version of the hugely successful, “The Greatest Showman,” soundtrack which is still breaking records in the charts as we write this. Since its initial release, it has spent a total of 44 weeks in the Top 10, twenty-one of which were at the top spot. The album also currently remains the most streamed of 2018 in the UK.

And it is the longest running number one soundtrack in fifty years.

“Never Enough,” was the sixth song on the original soundtrack previously being performed by Loren Allred who gave such a breathtaking take on the track that we weren’t sure anyone could ever top it.

That was until Kelly Clarkson came along.

The singer put her own spin on the song and made us fall in love with it all over again. Her rendition, which was released yesterday (9th November) comes as part of a new, “re-imagined,” version of the globally loved soundtrack which is set to drop on 16th November.

“The Greatest Showman: Re-Imagined,” was first announced last month. Since then, there have been three releases from the upcoming album. The first was the stunningly beautiful version of, “A Million Dreams,” performed by Pink and her seven-year-old daughter Willow closely followed by Panic at the Disco’s fresh take on, “The Greatest Show”. Clarkson’s cover of, “Never Enough,” is the third release.

“I’m honoured to be a part of this album,” the singer said in an interview upon the big announcement of her cover. “Never Enough’ is a beautiful song and I hope y’all dig my version.”

Other talents who have signed up to put their spin on songs from the soundtrack include everybody from Ty Dolla $ign to Years & Years to Kesha, but you can check out the full track-listing below:
