Bieber sticks to a protein-heavy diet with plenty of vegetables. "Dinner is usually kind of along the same lines [as lunch]—some sort of vegetable, or pasta, like a gluten free pasta," she says. "Chicken, maybe. Sometimes [I'll do dessert]. I really like the Magnum bars, obviously that's a great one. [But I generally try to avoid] sugar. Sugar's a big one for everyone, I think."
Bieber loves Pilates-based workouts. "I used to be a ballet dancer so Pilates for me gets my body personally in the best shape because it's very elongating," she says. "A lot of the movements in Pilates are very similar to dance."
Bieber loves high-energy boxing-based workouts, saying it's as beneficial for her mental health as it is for her physical wellbeing. "I really like boxing for cardio. And I'll do a couple of sessions a week in the gym, weight training and cardio," she says. "Exercise keeps my mind and my body really healthy."
Bieber lives a spiritual life, which she says helps ground her. "It's important for people to have something to believe in. It doesn't have to be Christianity, by the way," she says. "The church I go to is what I believe to be true, but that doesn't mean it's going to be true for you, or true for another person. Spirituality and having something to center yourself is important."
Bieber allows herself time to relax and indulge, especially when she's on vacation. "I try to be very strict about eating just for my skin and my body. I did go to the Maldives not too long ago," she says. "I felt like that was like, super lavish, indulgent. I was eating whatever I wanted when I was there because it was just like you've got to take advantage of those moments."
